Chief Operating Officer

About the Role

We are looking at growing our Leadership Team and hiring a Chief Operations Officer to lead and direct the company across functions. The Chief Operations Officer’s responsibilities and account management. You should lead the expansion of the business into new markets and be able to apply process optimization and swiftly roll out the marketplace integrations. The COO should be a responsible leader with an analytical and strategic mind, a broad knowledge of the payments industry, and a deep understanding of cross-border transactions. What You’ll Do

  • Work closely with the CEO and the Board to develop and execute the company’s strategic growth plan
  • Oversee daily operations and ensure that business objectives are met or exceeded
  • Lead, mentor, and grow a diverse team of professionals across various functions and locations
  • Optimize operational processes to drive efficiency, scalability, and quality in the company’s products and services
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities and partnerships to expand the company’s market share and customer base
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and alignment of business goals
  • Monitor key performance indicators and implement data-driven decisions to support the company’s growth strategy
  • Establish a strong company culture that encourages innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement
  • Lead, motivate and empower team.
  • Evaluate team members, identify gaps and prepare development programs for the team;


  • At least 15 years of relevant and proven experience as COO, Head of Operations, Operations Director, or similar leadership role within the fintech or payment industry
  • Must have previous work experience in at least one of these European markets (UK, Germany, Netherlands, or Denmark) or USA
  • Familiarity with all business functions including Commercial, Finance, and IT
  • Experience with implementing systems and optimization of processes
  • Knowledge of data analytics and reporting
  • Good with numbers and financial planning
  • Outstanding communication and negotiation skills
  • Excellent organizational and leadership ability
  • Analytical mind
  • Problem-solving aptitude
  • Master’s in Business, Finance, or other relevant field
