Anurag Jain named 2019’s CEO of the Year
Our Co-Founder and CEO, Anurag Jain, was named CEO of the Year 2019 at the Annual Business Awards Banquet, held on Thursday, Oct 3 at Sheraton, University City, Philadelphia. The Awards Program recognizes regional entrepreneurs of the Asian-American community who are excelling in their commitment to their company and community.
“It is a huge honor to receive this award. When I started Prepay Nation with my co-founder Ajay Vikas Goyal, our intention was to serve the immigrant community, to enable them to buy products and services for their families back home in small values. Our motivation was the belief that the customer should not feel encumbered by additional fees for this service and receive values in real-time across borders. Getting this reward is the culmination of a penultimate immigrant dream of creating a platform that makes a difference in the lives of communities regionally as well as globally”, said Jain.
Jain and Goyal co-founded Prepay Nation in 2010 after realizing from personal experiences the hardship that the immigrant diaspora faces in value transfer to family members in developing countries. Mr. Jain, with his partner, started developing the platform which became the foundation of Prepay Nation today. The company’s business model has earned the “Best Cash Innovation Award” for PYMNTS Innovation Project 2014 and was declared “Most Promising Companies in America” by FORBES 2015 and “Fastest Growing Company in America” by Inc. Magazine in 2015.
The Annual Business Awards is hosted by the Asian American Chamber of Commerce of Greater Philadelphia (AACCGP). This organization makes a difference by supporting the spirit of entrepreneurship in the Asian community and recognizing companies and individuals committed to promoting regional ventures through business-friendly public policies and mutually beneficial community-focused services.
